  • Ryan Pownall

    DIRECTOR

    I have worked in the plumbing & heating industry for over 10 years. Having started my training on new build installations and large scale projects, I progressed to become gas safe registered soon after completing my Level 2 NVQ which enabled me to offer a full range of domestic plumbing & heating service within my portfolio. Since forming R J Heat I have continued to develop my professional skills and have a keen interest in renewable energy alternatives to fossil fuels.

    In 2022 we installed our first air source heat pump and in 2023 I became FGAS qualified. This has enabled me to install air conditioning, which I see as another excellent alternative to traditional central heating. This is an area I aim to focus on and grow the business in over the coming years.

    Outside of work I have to keep myself busy whether it is working on my own house, spending time with family and then the odd round of golf when I have time.

  • Richard Pownall

    DIRECTOR

    I have worked in the plumbing and heating industry for 10 years. I started my career by training for my Level 2 NVQ with a well established local company where I gained excellent training and advice. After working with them for a number of years I made the decision to setup on my own which in turn led me to build a partnership with my brother, Ryan.

    I am fully qualified in plumbing and gas and have also completed my training to work on LPG systems. More recently I have been focusing on developing my skills in renewable and more efficient heating systems such as air source heat pumps.

    In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, spoiling a walk with a round of golf and travelling.
